Hello! I have worked in the field of mental health for several years, starting out with children and families as an Intensive In-Home Clinician. Working in the community allowed me to gain a unique perspective and to understand what my client's lives are like outside of an office setting. When I completed my Masters in Social Work, I knew I wanted to work with adults and children who have experienced trauma. Since then, I have completed EMDR Basic Training and foundational Trauma-Based Play Therapy and continue to utilize these skills in practice at Sea Level Counseling. I use a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and attachment-based approach. I work with children (ages 8+), adolescents, teens, and adults. A typical session with me starts with checking in on current life events, identifying positive experiences and accomplishments, learning concrete skills to manage distressing symptoms, and healing from traumatic experiences.
